The operagroup “Óp-hópurinn” is a group of great young singers who will be performing Suor Angelica on Saturday. They have asked me to sing the Badessa. Although a very short role (I think my shortest ever!) it needs to have authority and power.
Its fun to sing in a nun costume…the last time I did that was in a red nun costume in Carsons production of Zauberflöte at Opera de Lyon.

I’m very exited with my new program at the Icelandic Opera. Its a recital a theatrical recital with staged atmosphere and costumes, including the songs from my latest cd Portrett. What is even better is my guest singer; Garðar Thor Cortes who is a great colleague. We will start rehearsing soon with director Agusta Skuladottir and the show is on October 21st.
